Everyone is a target
This is not a theoretical risk. This is a real scenario happening across the world. It can happen to any employee and may affect:
- the computer of an accountant, IT administrator, or the head of the organization
- a workstation with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in an operating room
- systems managing the entire IT infrastructure of the organization
Impact
- data loss
- risk of disruption of all IT services
- limited access to medical systems
- resulting risks to patient health and life
Cybersecurity in healthcare is a strategic priority for Poland. Protecting patient data and ensuring continuity of medical services is not only a technical challenge, but a responsibility of the state.
